Leadership, in my humble opinion is probably one of the most misunderstood qualities in the business world.
Many lead with a carrot and a stick, some lead with a whip.
Leadership is not taught in school, some colleges try. I really think leadership must be an experience.
First you need to be led by both good and bad leaders to know what the difference looks like. Then you need to try, mess up a bunch, apologize and then give it another shot.
If you feel bad leading others, you probably should change your approach. If you are being led by someone else and you feel bad after you get some "leadership from them... you might want to find another leader.
