I admit it, I was the guy that would hit a problem, stop and run to the nearest person to ask them what they thought. In reality I could have figured most of it, if not all of it on my own. But, I wanted to waste some time, get some coffee and chat with my co-workers.
I didn't realize why this was destructive to my career and the companies I used to work for. When you become the owner of the business, you figure it out real quick!
