I just came back from a business conference. The stage was packed with great speakers from different backgrounds. Each successful in their own space. One particular speaker talked about the importance of thinking big. (Actually they all did, so this MUST be important). This speaker actually almost didn't build a $10B company because he was fixated on making $60/hr!!!
Why do we think small? I know I think small more often then not. It takes the same amount of effort to create something small as it does something big. While in the short term thinking and doing small things seems easier, in the long term it usually requires more work.
Imagine working for $60/hr (thinking small) because it was "easier" then building a $10B company! Short term small thinking that would have taken more work later on in life dealing with challenges, setbacks and lack.
